Rachel Darlington – Outside the Box

Rachel is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and has been a partner at Business Like NZ since 2009.

Rachel enjoys building relationships with clients to understand the ‘big picture’. The ‘big picture’ helps her identify what makes the business tick and any roadblocks that may be preventing the business from achieving its goals.

Rachel has built up a wealth of knowledge over the years and endeavours to find solutions to problems in a variety of ways. She likes to think outside the box and works hard to understand the challenges a business faces and will work with them to ensure they get all the available tools, resources and support the business requires.

Away from work, Rachel can be found in gumboots (and often with a glass of wine in hand) on her plot of land in Ardmore which is often referred to as the ‘Funny Farm’. She had a pig named Pepper and a dozen chickens who created havoc, so they have been rehomed to live out their days in the sun. However, her menagerie of cats and dogs continue to keep her on her toes. If she is not weeding or planting gardens, she will be found whizzing around on the ride-on lawnmower.

Rachel loves spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. If you catch her after a wine or two, ask her to show you her famous “card trick” or you may be lucky enough to witness her swing around the pois like a seasoned professional.
